GENBAND Proves Major Force in Communications

May 16, 2017

Anyone who's been following GENBAND for any length of time knows full well that this company has delivered a lot of value on the communications front. Perhaps best known for its real-time communications (RTC) systems, GENBAND has been active in the communications field for some time now. Recently, Juniper Research gave GENBAND even more credibility here, naming it an Established Leader in new reports.

The reports in question—Mobile Messaging Market Trends and Competitive Landscape 2017-2021 and Mobile Voice Market Trends and Competitive Landscape 2017-2021—both make it clear that GENBAND is a force to be reckoned with in both mobile voice and mobile messaging.

Several factors went into Juniper's assessment of GENBAND's capabilities, with Juniper calling attention to GENBAND's Kandy platform-as-a-service offering in particular as well as GENBAND's industry connections, its portfolio beyond Kandy, and its ability to capitalize on what's already been done.

Recently, GENBAND has been working on developing its voice over LTE (VoLTE) options, driving its communications profile forward and allowing it to offer a useful new option for companies augmenting network functions virtualization (NFV) infrastructure in the growing rush toward 5G connectivity. Its Enhanced Voice Services codec support offers new capability for virtual network functions (VNFs) and for physical network functions (PNFs) for deployments both in-network and in hybrid cloud operations.

Patrick Joggerst, who serves as GENBAND's executive vice president of global sales and marketing, noted, “We're pleased to be recognized as a market leader across categories. Juniper Research has a strong reputation and these reports showcase our ongoing commitment to delivering state of the art communications from the Cloud as the communications ecosystem becomes a software-centric, real-time communications arena connecting people and things.”

For quite some time now, GENBAND has been a leader in the field. GENBAND was part of CNBC's Disruptor 50 back in 2015, and there's little sign that the company has slowed its pace of innovation since. It delivers value routinely on a variety of fronts, and can readily demonstrate it with things like the Kandymobile, a huge RV that shows off just what Kandy can do in a variety of situations. A company that can demonstrate its capability this clearly deserves special attention, and with Juniper Research calling attention to it, that's just part of GENBAND's due.

GENBAND is a market leader and an innovator few can match. It's clear that this company is indeed an Established Leader, and Juniper is just confirming what many already knew.
